Female Fertility Tests
First IVF conducts a range of tests for both females and males to assess reproductive health and identify any potential factors contributing to infertility.
What Tests Are Available?
Female fertility tests encompass a range of examinations to assess reproductive health. The results of these tests provide valuable insights into a woman’s fertility status, guiding our specialists in tailoring suitable treatment plans based on your individual needs and circumstances.
Ovulation Tests
Ovulation Tests
Tracking hormonal markers like luteinizing hormone (LH) to determine if ovulation is occurring regularly.
Hormone Blood Tests
Hormonal Blood Tests
Assessing levels of hormones such as FSH (follicle-stimulating hormone), LH, estradiol, and AMH (anti-Müllerian hormone) to evaluate ovarian reserve and hormonal balance.
Pelvic Ultrasound
Pelvic Ultrasound
Imaging the pelvic region to examine the uterus, ovaries, and fallopian tubes for abnormalities, cysts, or fibroids.
Hysteroscopy
Hysteroscopy
A minimally invasive procedure involving a thin tube with a camera to examine the interior of the uterus for abnormalities.
Thyroid Function Tests
Thyroid function Tests
Evaluating thyroid function, as thyroid disorders can impact fertility.
Genetic Testing
Genetic Testing
In some cases, genetic tests may be recommended to identify hereditary conditions or potential risks to the fetus.
Postcotial Test
Postcotial Testing
Assessing the interaction between sperm and cervical mucus to determine the suitability of the cervical environment for conception.
Cervical Mucus Analysis
Cervical Mucus Analysis
Evaluating the quality and quantity of cervical mucus, which plays a role in sperm transport.
HyCoSy
HyCoSy
HyCoSy, short for Hysterosalpingo Contrast Sonography, is a minimally invasive fertility procedure used to assess the fallopian tubes and uterus. During the procedure, a contrast agent is injected into the uterus through a catheter while an ultrasound scan is performed. This allows fertility specialists to visualize the shape and structure of the uterus and check for any blockages or abnormalities in the fallopian tubes.
HyCoSy is often recommended for couples undergoing in vitro fertilisation (IVF) to identify any potential issues that may affect the success of the treatment.
Saline Infusion Sonohysterography - SIS
Saline Infusion Sonohysterography
SIS, or Saline Infusion Sonohysterography, is a diagnostic procedure commonly used in fertility evaluations. It involves the insertion of a small catheter into the uterus, through which a sterile saline solution is injected. This expands the uterine cavity, allowing clearer visualization via ultrasound imaging.
SIS helps fertility specialists assess the uterine cavity for abnormalities such as polyps, fibroids, adhesions, or structural defects that may impact fertility or increase the risk of pregnancy complications. SIS is a valuable tool in the pre-treatment evaluation of individuals undergoing in vitro fertilization (IVF) or other assisted reproductive technique
