ICSI With Donor Eggs

First IVF is excited to announce that we are collaborating with Cryos International and can provide eggs from their donor bank which is based in Cyprus.

Who Is Suitable For ICSI?

ICSI is a specialized fertility treatment ideal for couples facing male fertility factors that may hinder the fertilization process during conventional IVF. Men with low sperm count, poor sperm motility, or abnormal sperm morphology may benefit from ICSI. Additionally, couples who have experienced failed fertilization attempts with traditional IVF due to male factor issues can also consider ICSI as an effective solution. At First IVF, our skilled fertility specialists carefully assess each individual case to determine the most suitable treatment plan, including whether ICSI is the right option for you. Contact us today to schedule a consultation and explore how ICSI can help you achieve your dream of parenthood

What's the Difference Between IVF & ICSI?

The primary difference between IVF and ICSI lies in the method of fertilization. While IVF relies on natural sperm penetration of the egg in a laboratory dish, ICSI involves the direct injection of a single sperm into the egg.

What Does ICSI With Donor Eggs Involve?

ICSI with donor eggs is a fertility treatment option that involves the combination of ICSI and the use of donor eggs to facilitate conception. Here is an overview of the process:

Step 1 - Donor Egg Selection

The process begins with the selection of a suitable egg donor. The egg donor undergoes extensive medical and genetic screening to ensure the quality of the eggs.

If the intended father is providing the sperm, he undergoes sperm collection. Alternatively, donor sperm can be used.

The mature eggs retrieved from the egg donor are subjected to the ICSI procedure. Using a microneedle, a single sperm is directly injected into each mature egg to ensure fertilization.

Following the ICSI procedure, the fertilized eggs (now embryos) are monitored as they develop in the laboratory for several days.

Once the embryos have developed to a suitable stage, one or more embryos are selected for transfer to the uterus of the intended mother or a gestational carrier.

To support the uterine lining and improve the chances of successful embryo implantation, the recipient (intended mother or gestational carrier) may undergo progesterone supplementation.

A pregnancy test is conducted approximately two weeks after the embryo transfer to determine if the procedure was successful.
